William Morley, yeoman of Withyham left a will, dated 24 September 1694:
- testator is "very aged"
- bequest to the poor of Withyham
- to son George Morley 1/2 of rent from tenement "called the Chequer lying at Gravesend in the County of Kent which George Atkins(?) Esqr. now holdeth of me by lease" [perhaps a pub]

For reasons unknown, William Morley of Withyham revoked his earlier will and replaced it with a vastly different one!
